I thought I should drop you a quick note to thank you yet again for the excellent work you did for us in developing the job scheduling system. We have been using it now for about 6 months and it has been a real boon for our business. The bottleneck that was developing in the office has been eliminated which has allowed us to grow this part of our business without any drama.
Where we used to spend nearly half a day at the end of each week to prepare the run sheets for the boys for the following week we now can do the same job in less than half an hour. We are able to respond to customer requests quickly and efficiently, and can capture any changes a customer may want instantly and be confidant those changes will be reflected in the schedules. This is a far cry from our previous system which required a lot of communication between staff members with the predictable consequences of lots of paper flying around the office, messages being lost or miss understood, stressed staff members and finally some unsatisfied customers.
As you are aware we searched for an off the shelf package solution for a long time and there are lots of scheduling packages out there but unfortunately none of them even came close to providing the sort of functionality that we needed. This ultimately led us to the decision that we needed to have something developed specifically for us.
